Keep an eye out!!

The media choices I chose for this campaign are a website banner that will show on the side of various websites, a poster for toy stores and department stores, and a Facebook page that links to a blog. I chose the website banner ad in order to publicize the product on various toy store websites and blogs that mothers create. This will spread the product by word-of-mouth and through other businesses. The poster ad is for physically publicizing in the toy stores, buses and sideway chairs. This way, mothers can physically see the ad and in stores, scan the QR code on the poster and learn more about the product. I am hoping to spark curiosity in people passing by or waiting for the bus.
The last media tool I chose is a Facebook page with a link to a "mommy" blog. I will be creating a Facebook page that will be used to link together users and fans of this product. Here they can share their user id's and meet up with each other to interact in the CEO Barbie World. They can also go to the blog site, which I will have different stories from mothers who have found the product inspirational or useful. This blog will be compiled of stories that mothers send in to me as well as my personal stories. All the images I created for the Facebook page are examples of what my ads will look like for the banner ad and and places I'd like to see my actual ads. Also, it shows images of what the actual virtual world looks like with Barbie in action.

What is CEO Barbie World?

My idea is to have each new Barbie have a QR Code and a serial number. This code will link each doll to the website where you can enter the CEO Barbie World. Each serial number will link to an online version of the doll. From there, the owner can personalize its appearance and clothing. Then, the owner will be able to control the doll’s daily activities. There will be a range of things to do, from applying for a job, to interviewing, to accepting and doing the job and getting paid. This world is created to teach girls about different careers and how to gain valuable skills and experience through a job. They will earn play money and get to make purchases such as accessories, fashion, cars and houses. It will also teach them about finances and how to budget and save.

CEO Barbie World Launch!

**Disclaimer: This is just something I created for my Master's degree class. I needed to create a blog for mothers to share their stores and ideas. So followers, please do not think this is a real product! I do not own rights to Mattel, Barbie or anything copyrighted by the company**

I chose to rebrand Mattel’s Barbie. This product has been around since 1959. This timeless classic served as our best friends when we were young girls and now as we grow older, some dolls become our prized collectables. So keeping this in mind, how would I rebrand such an American icon? I wanted to build a whole new digital world for these dolls. I came up with the idea by looking by and thinking about what I did with my Barbie doll. I created personalities for each of them and gave them roles to carry. Why not keep up with the times and do the same thing online?
